Everything You Need to Know for Your Private Luxury Expedition
Whether you are arriving from across the country or around the globe, our goal is to deliver a seamless, stress-free experience from arrival to departure. Below are answers to common questions regarding logistics, fleet capacity, booking policies, and regional conditions.
Logistics & Arrival
Where do expeditions start and end?
We provide complimentary door-to-door pickup and drop-off at all hotels, private estates, and luxury lodges in the Rapid City, Custer, Hill City, Deadwood, and Speafish areas.
Do you provide airport transfers?
Yes. Private transfers from Rapid City Regional Airport (RAP) and regional fixed-base operators (FBOs for private aviation) are included for all multi-day package guests and can be added to any full-day expedition.
Fleet & Luggage Capacity
Which vehicle is best for my group?
Our private fleet is assigned based on party size, terrain, and your personal luxury preferences:
- Lincoln Navigator L (Up to 5 guests): Quiet executive luxury, perfect for couples, small families, or trade executives.
- Mercedes Caleche (Up to 14 guests): Features a retractable panoramic glass roof—ideal for open-air canyon driving and wildlife viewing.

How much luggage can we bring?
Our full-size SUVs, limousines, and executive shuttles feature ample dedicated cargo space for standard airline-checked suitcases and carry-ons. If traveling with oversized gear, golf clubs, or hard cases, let us know in advance so we can dispatch the appropriate vehicle or luggage support.

Seasonal Advice & Packing
When is the best time of year to visit?
- May – October: Peak season featuring long daylight hours, full access to high-altitude scenic drives, active wildlife viewing, and ideal weather for open-top Caleche touring.
- November – April: Crisp winter beauty, peaceful snowscapes, and prime bison viewing in Custer State Park and Badlands with zero summer crowds.
What should we wear?
The High Plains weather can shift quickly. We recommend dressing in comfortable layers, wearing sturdy closed-toe walking shoes, and bringing sunglasses, a wide-brimmed hat, and light rain wear regardless of the season.
